In 2026, Maytoni is moving beyond a conventional lighting collection towards object-led design. Double Moon turns light into an optical experience, Topo introduces a portable scenario without a fixed power point, and Maytoni Studio brings together new ideas from European designers. Here is what makes these releases interesting and how they can work in an interior.

Maytoni at Light + Building 2026: decorative light becomes an independent element of the interior.
1. DOUBLE MOON: LIGHT AS A COSMIC COMPOSITION
Designed by Alexey Danilin, Double Moon takes inspiration from the image of two celestial bodies. Its defining element is a transparent glass sphere with a tinted mirror gradient. A concealed LED source illuminates the sphere from above and below, creating the impression of light glowing from within.
The collection received the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2025 and an A’Design Award. It includes pendant, wall, floor and rechargeable luminaires. The main models use soft 3000 K light, while magnetic mounting details help preserve the clean geometry.

Double Moon combines pendant, table and floor lighting in one coherent visual system.
Where it works: beside a bed, next to a mirror, in a living area or as a composition above a table. Double Moon is best treated as emotional and accent lighting rather than the only source of light in a room.
2. TOPO: PORTABLE LIGHT WITH A CHANGING CHARACTER
Topo is a rechargeable lamp by Felix Pöttinger, built around a restrained cylindrical base and a rotating disc. By changing the position of the upper element, the user can move from more focused task light to a softer reflected glow. One compact object can therefore work on a desk, bedside table, shelf or in a lounge area.
- warm 2700 K colour temperature;
- 5 W power and up to 220 lm output;
- smooth dimming;
- rotating light disc and several finish options.

Topo: a portable lamp with a rotating disc for focused and atmospheric light.
3. MAYTONI STUDIO: A DESIGN PLATFORM, NOT JUST ONE SERIES
Maytoni Studio is a curated collection developed with contemporary designers from Germany and across Europe. Its first drop focuses on table and portable lighting: small objects that shape intimate zones and give an interior a distinct character.
Studio includes Topo and Asym by Felix Pöttinger, as well as Resonance, Hope and Crochet by Alexey Danilin. The common idea is to combine expressive form, intuitive interaction with light and practical everyday use.
4. HOW TO USE THESE IDEAS AT HOME
BUILD LAYERS
Combine general ceiling light with pendants, wall lights and a portable lamp so brightness and mood can change with the activity.
LEAVE SPACE
Sculptural luminaires need a calm background. Avoid competing decorative objects and too many visible light sources nearby.
CHECK THE TASK
Topo's 220 lm are suitable for soft local light, but they do not replace proper task lighting over a large work surface.
